Feb 14, 2007 the
Young at Heart got on a bus and went on a road trip to
see the Women's Monastery in Ocala, Florida. The best
part of the trip was going together and having fun with
each other. The day was beautiful and sunny and everyone
enjoyed the beautiful ride into the countryside. We
passed farms and cows and horses. The beautiful scenery
was just as fun and wonderful as getting to our
destination. When we arrived we were struck by the
beautiful manicured grounds and serenity of the
Monastery. Father Michael performed a beautiful service
and then the hard-working nuns served a lovely lunch. We
ate and had coffee and cookies and boarded the bus for
our return. It was a wonderful day and we all hope to do
it again soon.
